This Tricky Math Quiz looks simple when you first see it but many people have failed it. When it was first published on our Facebook page, Some people have their answers as 6 while others have 30 but what is your own. Take some few minutes to solve it before checking the correct answer in this article. To solve this type of question you need just to apply BODMAS or PEMDAS rules carefully.

The Quiz was 25 ÷ 5( 2+ 3 ) + 5 = ?

I will solve the first method that will give us an answer which is correct but fundamentally wrong then later solve using the correct method which is generally accepted.

So, the first step is to deal with what is in the bracket that is 2 + 3 = 5.

Now the the question will look like

25 ÷ 5 × 5 + 5= ? Remember we were solving what is in the bracket in other to remove the bracket and so if there is no operation left in the bracket, it automatically turn to a multiplication sigen (×).

Some people arrived at this stage then multiply 5× 5 = 25 before dividing it by 25. If you did it that way, your solving will be as thus : 25 ÷ 5 × 5 + 5 =?

25 ÷ 25 + 5 = ?

1 + 5 = ?

6 = ? So, the answer here is 6 which many people have it but this answer is fundamentally wrong since according to BODMAS, Division comes first.

Now let's solve the correct method.

25 ÷ 5 × 5 + 5 = ?

5 × 5 + 5 = ? ( Because I divided first)

25 + 5 = ?

30 = ?. I think this is the correct answer to the tricky Math Quiz. This is because i followed all the basic rules of BODMAS.

Solving Maths without applying some basic principles will land us to different answers and this will make maths more complicated.

So, it neccesory to always solve with respect to Math rules. Hopefully you learn something today. If you have different views or answers comment please and don't forget to share.
